Their very first album I really couldn't get into.It sounded more like a cross between Jazz and mid 70's Disco. So it did not impress me at all.But their second album impressed me alot.Couldn't believe the guest singers that they had on that album, such as Ozzy Osborne singing a New Wave song.I never got the impression, that Ozzy could do any song in a New Wave style. It just wasn't him.And of all people Mel Torme is a musical guest on one of the songs, geez. But their big hit from that album Knocked Down Made Small was a great song.I believe that Don Was is still around either making music today,or at least producing other artists.
I don't think that Was Not Was is still around though.Their next album with "Walk The Dinosaur" I felt wasn't very good.It had more of a funk and a R&B sound to it,then it did a New Wave sound. But yet I still like "Walk The Dinosaur" Just not the rest of that album too much.
