"Q the Album" early 80's synthpop w/ Stacey Q??

Postby Jim2 » Sun Jan 08, 2006 2:17 pm

I used to DJ on a college radio station from 1982 - 1986. The library had this Q LP (EP?)on clear or yellow colored vinyl on Mao records. I had a tape with one song on it, I leant it to a DJ to see if he could find it, but I never heard from him again. I know the name of the band is Q and the only lyrics of one of the songs I can remember go:
(spoken) Boy in band make me excited.
I saw a VH1 "Where are they now" type show on Stacey Q (Two O Hearts) and they showed a small clip of a video of this song. Any help with any or all songs from the LP would be appreciated.

...and I haven't felt so alive, in years.

Stacey Q was in a band called SSQ when she was called Stacey Swain. They were signed to Enigma. I don't remember "Q", but I imagine it was the same group essentially.

Yep, it's SSQ and it's great. Many members here have it on vinyl and/or mp3. If you want trax, email me at s1500@comcast.net, or get on Soulseek as many of us have it.

I already know about SSQ and the Playback 7". I am looking for Q, before they became SSQ and this release is on Mao Records and not Enigma.
