Has anyone else seen a car commercial using Devo's "Uncontrollable Urge"?
Cool.. a marketing wonk using something other than Top 40 new wave (e.g., Whip It). Ranks up there with HP using "Pictures of You".

Royal Carribean using "Lust for Life", Jaguar using "London Calling", VW using "Da Da Da", and Mitsubishi using "Uncontrollable Urge". Those songs weren't even on commercial radio in their time. We are all officially old.

Or maybe out generation has finally landed jobs in advertising. Some new wave songs make me cringe that they're being used in commericals (like Golden Brown by the Stranglers, but I've discussed that elsewhere), but I never had that problem with Devo's s
