Who Will last longer U2 or REM

Postby JohnPaulGeorgeRingo » Mon Jan 09, 2006 1:39 pm

Both have been around for more than 2 decades.
Both have more than a dozen great albums.
Both have been proven great musicians.

Who do you think will last longer???

If the third choice was "Who Gives A ShiT" that would win by a landslide. And why isn't ColourField in the poll. Zzz.

Even casual new wave fans know that it is R.E.M., not REM. I know they probably aren't as wildly succesful and well-respected as THE COLOUR FIELD, but try to get it right, ok?

Motors, you really should take that biting and sarcastic sense of humor and redirect it towards politicians and celebrities rather than hapless NWO'rs. [B)][}:)][:D]

Excuse me, Mr. Genius, it's SUCCESSFUL!- not succesful.

Of course, you can always say it's a typo error.[xx(]

It was obviously a typing mistake but thanks for your concern, oh great english language expert. And BTW, "typo" by definition means "typographical error", therefore "typo error" is redundant. Perhaps you should spend more time studying your English as a second language books and less time listening to second rate bands that nobody else cares about.

Man, you're a cranky bunch this morning! Must be a lack of sunlight.

I'll go with U2 - consistent hits, appeals to a large demographic, still famous. For me, REM faded away a few years ago.

And Bono did a guest spot on the Simpsons waaaay before REM did! [8D]

Well, since you asked .... nah, I just can't. Let's just say nothing is forever and leave it at that. No need for details. I'm sorry I even responded to her bitter little cheapshot. I should be above that. In the future I will try to be more "succesful". [:D][:D][:D]

I'm just keeping my New Year's resolution. As long as there are dimwitted mice running around, there has to be a cat ready to pounce in order to keep the universe balanced. [:D]
