Has anyone seen this Cingular commerical yet featuring a female cover of Hanging on the Telephone? It's pretty cool. I'd love to know the singer.

Haven't seen it overhere yet, though I'm a zapping- away- for- commercials-person.

Here in the Netherlands one could tell that the 25 years of copyrights were over for quite a few good songs. The Clash on car-commercials. The Ramones on Yogurt-energy-drink, and some more. I'll gladly look out for the Hanging on the telephone.

I really like the version in the commercial. According to adtunes it was recorded for the commercial & not available.

I'm not sure who it is, but from the vocal I'd bet my money on the group Azure Ray. If not, it's a pretty convincing sound-a-like.

I like whoever did the cover of "Bizarre Love Triangle" for the Payless Shoes commercial. I felt a sudden urge to buy shoes... it made me feel in tune with the sistahs of the world for that brief 30 seconds[:I] Would prefer to be in touch, though[:D]

We dupe the broadcast dubs ofthat Payless spot at my work. I felt dirty making copies of it for a cheap shoe company.

I saw that commercial and it took my so long to figure out that it was a cover of "hanging on the telephone" because that version is so slow compared to Blondie's version.
