NWO T-Shirts

Postby Spit » Sun Jan 15, 2006 1:15 pm

I was wondering if there are NWO t-shirts and sweatshirts that are available to purchase . If not , I think it might be a good way of supporting this site .The money made from the tees and sweats could go towards making NWO even better . What do you think , would any members here purchase such gear if it was available [?]

Woah, I also did not know that the NWO was nearly 10 yo! And also funny b/c I was recently thinking of where I might find some NW T-shirts. I know that recently, marvymarv put his graphic design talents on a proto-NWO T-shirt design, although I can't find that thread. But I think I'm going to start looking for NW bands' T-shirts.

Funny that you all bring this up, because I'm seriously planning something like this for the big 1-oh. I'd love to get some tees and sweatshirts lined up. Was does everyone think of Marv's logos that we had a sort of consensus on from a couple months back. I'd like to use it for the 10th Anniversary kick-off as well as the shirts. I think we arrived at the red and blue one (B).

Let me know your thoughts and ideas on NWO-ware? I'm thinking a simple line of tees, sweatshirts and coffee mugs would be nice. Hmmmm, perhaps custom iPod sleeves?

Lastly, I'd like to apologize for being fairly removed from the board ever since the Holidays. I've recovering from a nasty flu and I'm stuck in perpetual catch-up mode it seems, so please be patient.[:I]

We should try to get more voices heard in the original vote thread...

Thanks Blir for reviving that post. I almost forgot that I want to come up with a 10th Anniversary slogan as well.

Some ideas:
"10 years preserving the best of alternative 80's"
"Forget Ferris, Save the Wave!"
"Old School Cool"
"Vinyl Rules!"
"Analog Rules!"
"Alt80's Preservation Society"
"Alt80's Lives!"
"This Must Be the Place!"

And here's a pre-emptive strike for the smart asses out there:
"10 Years of beating a dead decade"[:D]

How 'bout a list our top voted bands and/or songs on the back of the tees? Give me your ideas peeps![8D]

Great ideas Mike. Here's another tagline for consideration:

"Still surfin after all these years"

or how about:

"NOT the New Order Outpost" [;)]

I like "Old School Cool". 80s-specific references ignores too much of the great stuff that happened in the late 70s. I mean after all, didn't somebody around here actually insist that new wave was dead by the 80s? As if! [:o)][:D]
