Suggestions for "Punk Ribbon" mix

Postby hexicon » Wed Jan 18, 2006 11:42 pm

Greetings, I'm here to solicit your suggestions for a mix CD. (Almost said mix tape. Anyway.)

One of my colleagues has just come down with what is our office's third case of breast cancer in two years. Fortunately, her prognosis is good and the other two women are doing well too. When my friend Z was diagnosed, since I'm not so good with the feelings stuff I made her a "Pink Ribbon" mix CD of girly dance songs about being strong, etc. (Madonna, Gwen Stefani, so forth.) Z said she took it with her for every hospital trip.

So I thought I would branch out to a "Punk Ribbon" mix and wanted your suggestions on tracks from our favorite artists. They don't have to be punk, or by female artists, but I'm looking for feel-good, be-strong stuff, like "Brass In Pocket."

If your suggestions are really obscure, maybe you could e-mail me mp3s through my profile? Thanks.
