Thanks Chuck. It's alway nice to hear some Bill Nelson and I liked the Dow Jones stuff. Looking forward to whatever he has planned next.

Awesome - thanks! I really know very little of his solo material but I loved Be Bop Deluxe. There is a TON of solo stuff and it's hard to know where to start. Once the hub's back up, I'll have to do a little sampling. [:D][8D]

Thanks for the plug Chuck...."Schnell Fenster" is up right now on the blog.

Any suggestions for the next post? I'm thinking about some from "Sleep Convention" by Trees. Dane Conover sent me some newer material so I'll pick one from there plus a couple from the album.

Well, after reviewing the tracks I have from "Sleep Convention" I have decided to re-rip the entire album to a better bit rate for all to enjoy. The new tunes are pretty decent so no need to fix those.

Anyone have a really good jpeg of the cover? I have a pretty bad one so I don't want to post it. I guess I could borrow my daughters digital camera and see what I can come up with.

The new tunes from Dane contains a tune called "Small Town Coincedence" with is kinda like a continuation of "Red Car" off of the album. "Hercules" is another featuring Danes wife Marisa on lead vocal...great killer tune! These two are going up as soon as I finish the new rip on the album.

Eklektik Radio proves that good things happen when an eclectic collector gets a radio show! It's great a great one!

The blog is like hanging with a friend listening to the thing he always wanted to play for you!

If your tired of hearing the same 80's hits over and over again, check the links for something different.

Ok....."Red Car" and "Wildwood" are up @ 192 bitrate...sound pretty good considering I played the hell out of this album since I bought it new back in '82. Notice I didn't put up the 3 most talked about tracks:

"Come Back"
"Delta Sleep" or
"Shock of the New"

I thought I'd give everyone a sample of the other great tracks that are on there.

The 2 bonus tracks are listed as "DC and Friends" (DC obviously Dane Conover). "Small Town Coincendence" is like a continuation of "Red Car" 20 years later...and "Hercules" is a great tune composed by Steve Borilla and sung by Danes wife Marisa.

Any suggestions for the next? How about "Invisible Zoo" with some unreleased bonus tracks? (Thanks Doug).

Check out my live 365 radio station "Eklektik Radio" where most of the tunes from the blog are up and running.

Hercules was done in 2000. The song was written by an old aquaintence of Marisa and Dane says he "...could never pass up a good pop song".

I don't have that popgem CD. Just a CD from Dane with some stuff he did after "Sleep Convention" up to 2002.

Dane called it "All This" by DC and Friends.

1. 1992 Witch Hunt
2. 1992 Better Days (file was corrupt so I've never heard it)
3. 2002 Omen
4. 1999 Gravity
5. 2000 Hercules
6. 1998 Night of Clouds
7. 1999 Fire Truck
8. 1993 Fall for You
9. 1993 Webster's Revolution
10. 1992 Bird
11. 2002 Gamble
12. 2002 I Go with You
13. 2002 Jeep
14. 2002 Motivated
15. 1982/2001 Small Town Coincedence
16. 2002 Road to Betta
17. 2002 Wide Open

No artwork, just a printout sheet of tracks with Danes written notes.

Ok Chuck,

max.murdoc@gmail.com

There you go. Send what you like and I'll send back anything you want from my list.

Max

Dane co-wrote a song on Dumb and Dumber. Beat Farmers sang it. If I'm not mistaken....Dane produced one of their albums too. You wouldn't happen to have a good quality jpeg of "Sleep Convention" cover do you? The one I got is pretty bad...go to blog and see.
