They are supposed to have a brand new album out early this year (2006). If it's anything like Sensor I will love it.

My favorite album from Camouflage is Bodega Bohemia. It's funny because they are one of the bands that were originally tagged as Depeche Mode clones. When I listen to their music now, I am not reminded of DM at all.

I like their remix collection. Love Is A Shield 12" and Suspicious Love are my favorites.

A bit Depeche Mode lite if I do say so, but as others have said, "Love Is a Shield" and "That Smiling Face" are two amazing synth-pop songs.

Yeps Camouflage is not a bad band. Their best album is Voices & Images, best song The Great Commandment. Next best is Methods Of Silence with Love Is A Shield. I didn't dig Meanwhile and Bodega Bohemia so I got a third CD We Stroke the Flames, Best Of, which includes 4 tracks from Voices & Images, Methods of Silence and Bodega Bohemia plus 3 tracks from Meanwhile. The interest of the Best Of is that it includes the remix of Love Is A Shield. The other good songs of the band are That Smiling Face, Neighbours, Strangers Thoughts. Regarding Sensor, I'm waiting to listen to the clips coz the reviews of Amazon are not always reliable " fantastic album....blah blah blah "[:D]

I also think That the Best of We Stroke The Flame does a great job cover Camouflage`s Hits. I would also have to say if you can locate their cd single (PROMOS), they have some fantastic mixes of The Great Commandment, Neighbour,Love is a Shield,& That smiling face.
Love is a shield & That smiling face are also my personal faves.
The promo single of Love is a shield has two mixes, the 12" band mix & 7" mix that I believe are only found on the promo. Neighbor has an extended mix. I wish they would put all their promo rarities on a cd so the public can buy.

p.s. Sensor is a great album.

I gave a listen to the 3 songs and was not impressed, nothing like The Great Commandment I told myself, but then I decided to give a repeat play to the tracks and well I was pleasantly surprised. The melody is easy to the ears, the album seems polished, may be too much in fact, but the result is satisfactory. I don't know why the clips are not available coz I would like to listen also to I'll Follow Behind, Harmful, Perfect and Here She Comes. In conclusion, the album is probably not fantastic but quite good in view of those 3 tracks. Thanx,Synthpopfan.[;)]
