If our goverment was to limit our selection on where we are to buy are gear, that is if there was only two types of stores you can buy cloths from where would you shop?

Well, gosh...

I could get a pair of plaid pants at Hot Topic for $60, or I can get the same pair at the Goodwill for $6. Um...which one will I choose?

Well, since the downtown in my city has some of the coolest thrift stores, I would definately have to pick them! I actually have never set foot inside a Hot Topic store, and I doubt that I ever will. Mall shopping just doesn't give me that same thrill th

I can't understand why everyone loves to bash "Hot Topic", how are they any different than any other chain store?

Whenever I go to the US I always visit Hot Topic, they carry music samplers (price $5.99) from Metropolis Records and a number of other in

I've walked into Hot Topic on occasion and while I wish something like that existed in my youth, at my advanced age I'd look pretty ridiculous dressing like a teenager so I have to vote for the old thrift stores. Lord knows I've gotten terrific clothes (a

Never heard of hot topic. But I get the gist of it. But I refuse to dress like a teen. Adults trying to dress like teens look like tools!

Thrift stores all the way...been a habit for years. Back in teh 80's, it was the only place you could find paisley !

Thrift stores. I've never even heard of Hot Topic. I still just love going to Goodwill and Salvation Army. I'm a bit of a miser.

I vote thrift store! And army surplus stores too.

In defense of Hot Topic, you can't really get the odd pair of vinyl pants in your size at a thrift store (unless you're really, really lucky). And at least you can try stuff on at the store instead of t

You could have made a LOT of money buying Hot Topic's stock when it was trading at around 1 dollar back in 1999.
