There were a lot of good and great pro and semi-pro music mags in the 80s-my favorite was bucketful of brains-which still continues today as they well-mined sixities as well as psych and garage music and always provided a flexi-disk. I still look for Bucketful of Brains Cd's and flexis today.

What were yours? Max Rock and Roll-Flipside-The Bob-Trouser Press? and why? do you still collect them?

MRR is still publishing despite the death of founder/director Tim Yohannan a few years back. Still the best resource for whats happening in the world of punk and hard core.

Star Hits! was also a favorite of mine, I could easily get it at the local drugstore. They also sold the UK version, Smash Hits! which was far superior. Creem, Flipside, Maximum Rock 'N' Roll, were all favorites as well.
