The Cars are reuniting!!

Postby cementkite » Tue Feb 22, 2005 12:12 pm

Rumors have been swirling for about 6 weeks now. I am a long-time fan and am on several internet groups for The Cars fans. No specific details yet, but a tour and new album are expected.

How can they "reunite" without one of the leaders vocalist ?
That would be "The Cars" without Ben Orr. It would never be the same.

I agree that Ben Orr is a great loss, but I'm still excited to hear about the others getting back together.

Hey, if Queen can tour with Paul Rodgers singing, The Cars can tour without Ben Orr.
Who would fill his shoes? Randy Jackson???

I concur with everyone who has posted thus far. I am excited that the cars are going to reunite. (I hope that it is not like one of those VH-1 Bands unite). I think that Ben played a very important role in the cars and it won't be the same without him bu

As much as I will miss Ben Orr, I actually think that Rik can pull off doing the vocals for all the songs. Their voices have always been pretty similar to my ears. By the way, my favourite Cars songs:

It would be interesting how Ric Ocasek and company will pull it off, going on tour without the late great Ben Orr.

My favorite Cars tune is actually an Orr sung one--All Mixed Up.

I always wondered how Ric Ocasek could go so long without doing anything. Did they make that much money? I guess so, particularly when they can sell their songs to anyone and everyone. Plus, I guess Paulina shares.
