Hey Ben! What exactly passes for normal here?

Spaz: where do you get the feeling that there are Spaz haters on this board? Maybe I'm dense (being a blond and all) but I don't see that.

Hutter, normal is an NWO where you are a fuck nut and i have zero credibility and we are both okay with it [;)]
Look at us, we had it out and got over it. Same with Blir, Marv and ...well Blir and Marv. I've been into it with both of them and as far as i'm concerned they are both good joe's and are a part of what makes this board what it is.

Normal = Have your beefs and move on in a kind orderly (adult) fashion [;)]

There was that time when you, Motors and Eight6 decided to keep attacking him over his defense of Kimiii. That may be what he is referring to.

You forgot Philly. Remember we teamed up and he had a period all over us? Then I teamed up with Phil and had a period all over you. Then I teamed up with Marv and had another period all over you. Then you teamed up with Nero and had a period all over us. Then I turned on Marv and had a period all over him, which surprised him since we once had a period all over 2nu. But you can't forget that 2nu and I had a period all over Eight6 and Motors and they inturn had periods on us. Was it about Eight6's period over Frayo or Frayo's periodic delusional periods about himself? Or maybe it was about their periods over Kimiiii. Then I had my own period to kimiiii about her period about the Mods and the board. I think this is when Rubbeet had her first period (was there a party?) about the Kimiiii periods. Of course all this pales in comparison to my massive final gusher on 2nu, which I believe mirrored a smaller period by SomebodySomewhere on the same topic of propper modding. Hmm, I still seem to be having this same said period...I should take a pill. And oh jeez, don't even get started on the Grunch, SS, Rubellan, Spaz, Almacantar periods. That was a period of a lot of periods, which is not to downplay me, Philly, and Rotators period over Grunch on a whole other matter. Of course, Beatschool never has periods during the actual period of the periods...he chimes in with a small period in judgement after all is said and done. Can't say I blame him. Periods are plum tuckerin'...bloated, messy, cramping overwrought threads that they spawn and all.

Without attempting to defend myself or criticize her, here's the condensed version - Her problem is primarily with me because of some nasty personal shit between us and secondarily with Marv's modding abilities and with anyone unfortunate enough to defend either myself or Marv. I also know that she spent a lot of time helping Nero and Andy with the NWZ and was pissed that some on here were taking jabs at it. It all came to a head and again, the posts speak for themselves.

I'm going to confess right here and now that I was hoping she'd leave. In fact, I made no secret of that with her. But I never wanted it to happen like this. I just can't agree with her or anyone being banned or with anything being deleted. I saw the post that finally tipped the scales and while a good portion of it was highly critical of me, that makes no difference to me. I usually don't care what anyone (with a few exceptions made for people on here I genuinely respect) says or thinks about me and never will. That said, it would bother me if anyone had even the slightest suspicion that I had anything to do with influencing this decision because I don't support it at all [:(].

3. Eight6, I have only 3 things left to say to you:

a. you were wrong in insisting I originally used a username at torchomatic that I had to change later on because everyone found it offensive.

I just had to point that out because:
- that's the first shit you threw at me on this board, feeling mighty sure and righteous of yourself;
- you cannot counter that information because it can't be searched on google;
- i wanted to stress that for the last time, for the information of those people who say you're super because you call a spade a spade

b. You were SO wrong in questioning my sincerity when I tried to empathize with the newbies whenever they got off to a rough start.

c. FUCK YOU!

[/quote]

a. Your version, you're entitled to it, just as I'm entitled to mine. I never goaded people into posting readily available music here, despite MikeP's repeated requests not to. That was you.

b. I don't remember these events, possibly because like many things here they were blown out of all proportion due to your overreaction...maybe you should learn to forget the little things.

c. Always classy, I'll leave it at Season's Greetings to you as well.

"Attack" and "assertively disagree" are often mistaken for each other here. The "attack" term carries much more of a negative conotation, and is overused strictly for the shock value.

Spaz tends to be a bit sensitive when his opinions/ideas are questioned. That has nothing to do with anyone other than Spaz.

Hutter, it was a pretty much a non-issue even before your apology.

Spaz - you have (non-hate) mail. It's overdue but with time comes perspective. I apologize for taking our disagreement too far and responding the way I did. I'm a dick for doing that. I'm sorry, man.

If Mike sees fit to block someone from the board, so be it. It's his place, and I look at this website as a privledge, not a right. I'm all for a good flame war too, but there's a line...cross it too many times and you're outta here. Good riddance too.

Seasons Greetings everyone!

First off, before I address Eight 6, I'd like to apologize to all for turning this into a Spaz issue, which was not my intention at all. I only mentioned past situations to bring up MikeP's honest, fair and patient attitude towards people on this board, whether he likes them or not (and he's never really told me who he likes and dislikes so please don't read anything into that).

Back to Eight 6... and my hopefully last non-music related post on this board....

This post is not filled with venom or even the slightest bit of anger so don't read it as such. It is not a defensive diatribe towards you although it is directed at you. Read it as a 'matter of fact' answer to your comments about me...

I believe, and I'm hoping others might agree, that it is YOU who have a problem with those that disagree with YOUR opinions. I don't ever expect anyone to agree with me (apart from this statement) and I'm quite happy when people do. If people disagree, then that's fine, too.

But I've never responded to somebody's differing opinion....only their over-the-top attack that I felt was unnecessary. Was the disagreement unnecessary? Probably not, but I sometimes see other peoples' passions attacked by you, which I find unnerving at times. Maybe it's just me misreading your intentions. I'll admit to that.

You, on the other hand, seem to spend to much time disagreeing on this board...maybe just for the fun of it? You do seem quite intelligent and witty but filled with too much spite and anger towards me and a few others on this board. Hey, if you think I"m a dick then just don't get up and respond to my postings. For the most part, I ignore yours, whether I agree or disagree. I just don't feel like getting into it.

Whatever I've done towards you in the past that you took personal, then I am truly sorry. Those who know me know that I'm a decent, upstanding and very likeable person. I have very few enemies, if any.

Well, maybe here....

Am I too sensitive? No, I don't think so. Opinions are opinions. We've all got them...and I admire those who stand up for what they believe. But I sometimes feel that you, and to a lesser extent, others, can be condescending towards others. We have the right to express our opinions without fear of retaliation. It's oft been said on this board that many don't want retaliation and won't post their opinions. That's just wrong.

I've been a lurker on many other sites and have posted as well and they never resort to a playground mentality that this place often does. Should I call you a bully? I believe that I have in the past and still think that you might have some personal issues that need to be dealt with, but don't we all? I've got plenty and I won't deny it for one moment. We all do, to varying degrees. But I could be wrong...maybe you don't have issues and your somewhat aggressive opinions are always right?

And just like many people here, I'm not sheltered, spoiled or stupid and I've experienced way too much heartache, death, divorce, depression and living with a birth defect, etc. Basically, I'm human. If you catch me on the right day, I'll laugh about it all. If you catch me on a bad day, it can be too much to bear. But that is life. But when I come to a place to learn and share about music and I see people getting dumped on for whatever reason (by you or whoever), it leaves me cold and I don't post music info.

I work and write about music (mostly imports) every day and I get tracklistings, info, bonus tracks, reissue news, etc weeks and sometiems months ahead of the release date. I come to this site to share it but see so much trivial crap that I just don't feel excited about it and go back to what I was doing at work. In 2007, I'll just stay away from this area and just post in the music areas.
Aren't you a lucky bully?

And it's useless to jump all over me about this post. I feel it is civil and self-explanatory. There's no viciousness hidden in here. I'm sure you'll be all over it, but maybe take it offline? We know you're going to have some intelligent, witty things to say in response...and it's kind of predictable now. I won't respond to your words unless you take it off this board. It's up to you to decide whether you want to peacefully (or unpeacefully) discuss these issues away from everyone else.

And one more thing (to anyone that is still reading)

I want to share this with you. In the past, when things got way too personal, there were a few guys who felt it necessary (at the time) to attack me personally. I honestly don't know why they weren't locked off the board at the time, but I don't hold grudges against the moderators for not stepping in. Almost immediately, Hutter apologized in a very nice personal e-mail. I don't hold grudges, so I immediately accepted and have not even given a negative thought towards him again. Now, Eight6 and Motors were a different story. I think that Motors was actually the most vicious of the three, but I'm not sure. It was all pretty hurtful and stopped me from posting much in the recent months.
Today, I recieved a very nice e-mail from Motors. An apology. I did not ask for it nor was I expecting it. And I decided that I was going to publicly accept that apology (and I'll send him an e-mail, too) and give him all the respect he deserves. A supreme gesture from someone that I would never have spoken to six hours ago, but now have not one ounce of anomosity towards. I thank you for that, MOtors. It was truly a cool thing to do (and you even publicly did the same...another fine gesture). I shall crown you Sir Motors (I've got to find Sir Hutter's paperwork and get that filed with the Queen as well).

No, I don't expect Eight6 to apologize. I don't believe that he has anything to apologize for. His opinions are facts, I suppose.

But I do wish him a Merry Christmas. Or Happy HOliday. I'm not quite sure what his religion is, but I wish him well.

And also to Hutter and Motors. We may not end up being the best buds, but if they ask for those custom made Spaz comps, they'll get them!!!!

Please enjoy your Christmas everyone. Stay safe and be sure to let everyone know what new wave things you found under the tree!

I'm not sure what alternate reality you live in, but when disagreement leads to a person being called "fat ass" and other epithets, it looks like an attack to me. If that qualifies as shock value for you, so be it. I do think it is time you come down from the ivory tower since you're as guilty of attacking people on this board as I am.
