I have worked with these people for a number of years, we don't hang out or anything...just a working relationship. They all deserved their punishments, I just don't like having to dish it out. The one that already got fired was pissed but he didn't blame me....I'm not looking forward to the other one with the deceased parent.
I took this position knowing that I might have to fire people but that didn't make it any easier when I finally had to actually fire someone.
I suppose a wheel will fall off of my car on the way home tonight... that would be par for the course.
But there is good news (finally), my raise went through. Oh happy day.
