There was a thread on this awhile back. We made a mixer out of scrap stuff lying around (old knobs, radio shack parts and Bic pen casings) and used 2 turntables to make these mix tapes that I've been re-doing through Adobe Audition. You had to sit there and cue up the next to go.....what fun that was. I remember getting almost all the way through a 90 min. tape (45 a side) and having a bad mix (missed cue...etc.) and having to start all over again. Good stuff.
We were quite inventive on our mixes....places snippets of dialog from the Eraserhead soundtrack. You had to be quick to get the next one up and ready to go. We never had a list to work off of....just grab what you thought sounded good and put it in.
